The meeting was well attended with over 100 delegates across a range of disciplines from surgeons to psychologists and including crucial functions such as physiotherapists, prosthetists and occupational health professionals. The wide ranging professions highlighted the importance of ensuring a multi-functional approach to the management of amputees who are to undergo treatment with osseointegration.
The congress provided an insightful look into the history, use, patient outcomes and challenges associated with osseointegration and provided delegates interested in using this treatment method with important tools and considerations aimed at ensuring the best possible clinical outcomes.

The congress entitled “Osseointegration – continued advancements in rehabilitation and pain management” will bring together leading experts from across the globe to learn about osseointegration surgical techniques and post-operative patient management.
The congress has been set up by the Osseointegration Group of Australia who’s founder, Dr Munjed Al Muderis will facilitate a cadaver workshop to demonstrate the surgical approach for Integral Leg Prosthesis from Orthodynamics. There will also be keynote speakers present, some of whom are already experienced users of the Integral Leg Prosthesis in Germany, the home market for Orthodynamics implants.

After more than 30 years of experience in the global orthopaedics markets, the Group’s Orthodynamics brand now makes its first direct appearance in the Australian market as part of an exciting period of expansion for the business.
Orthodynamics Pty Ltd offer a wide range of clinical solutions including specialist Orthopaedic Implants for both large joint arthroplasty and major revision / reconstruction, as well as a range of Orthopaedic Sports Medicine devices for ligomentoplasty and soft tissue repair for the knee, shoulder, foot and hand.
